Lori Bokenfohr is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the New York State Bar Association, and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Taxation from Osgoode Hall, York University.
Lori was previously an associate at White & Case LLP, a global law firm based in New York, and in the tax group of Ernst & Young LLP. In her current practice, she advises clients on tax-efficient business structures, transactions, and reorganizations. She also works with private enterprises and families to implement business and estate succession strategies, and long-term wealth management plans.
Lori lectures regularly on tax and business matters before various groups such as the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the University of Calgary Faculty of Law, and accounting organizations. Outside of her practice, Lori is a member of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Alberta, and helped develop and launch the student Tax Court Assistance Project at the Faculty of Law, University of Calgary.
